Secrets

Dearest Reader,

Can I ask you a personal question?

What is your secret?

Maybe your massive secret just crossed your mind, or you might be trying to think of your greatest secret. If this isn't your situation, then perhaps you're wondering if the particular thing in your mind – that idea of your secret – is a secret indeed. Or do you not have secrets at all?

To make things easier, we'll see what the dictionary explains about SECRET.

SECRET : private, known to only one or a few people, kept from public notice.

Sometimes secrets are intentional, and other times things are naturally or unintentionally private. I'm sorry if you haven't had to keep a thing for yourself for a day from everyone else while that secret cooks inside you. Secret is life's one adventure. It is torment to keep a secret to oneself. It happens to be the same torment when you're keeping it from one single person as well.

I have had to consciously keep a secret for fifteen months. I freed myself from the torment of it, and it felt good. But again, it's still a secret since not a lot of people know. Over time, the secret doesn't seem like a secret anymore. As soon as I let it out from me, it felt as if it wasn't such a torment.

Another thing I had to do was keep a secret of one friend from the others in a group. I eventually let the cat out of the bag, and honestly, it was worth it. Letting some things out doesn't always end in a pleasant way. Oftentimes, communicating with others about some things is just a stupid idea. But I don't regret anything I ever did or said because if I hadn't done that, then perhaps I may never have been able to unmask and understand.

Secrets are exciting. It gives adrenaline. My hand often shakes, and the pen falters when I try to put my secret as words in my journal. At times, some things remain too cliche to declare except to your confidants or people to whom that particular secret doesn't mean a damn thing.

One thing I always do is confidently blab to random people who I'm sure don't give a damn about it and are sure their circulating mouth doesn't twist and tweak words up to the path of those who can't ever know.

We all have our methods to deal with secrets. Most people journal, talk to their friend or family, declare it to a tree or something much more idiotic.

A word of advice? Ask yourself why, where, when and how it's a secret.

To our astonishment, secrets may turn out to be facts or jokes.

I'm not a girl of secrets. I declare most of my thoughts and do not regret or worry about them. I do end up in trouble, but I also end up being glad about it at the end. We all have secrets – even if it's not our own.

One thing about secrets that we do not realize is that secrets matter. However strong attempts we make to make them not matter or hidden will always end up being futile. Would anyone dare to say otherwise? I should like to see that then.

Secrets are just as pure as they are evil.

Do you know why I write romance and never fail to include it in any of my writings? It's because romance is the one and only genre where secrets remain a foundation no matter what.  Do you not agree?

Yes- we're often forced to keep secrets that over time they don't even feel like a burden because that secret becomes natural. But a white lie as a secret- Uhm!!

We lie, pretend and change to preserve our secrets. That happens unconsciously and naturally. That is why I want to end this by repeating my words:

Secrets are just as pure as they're evil.

Secretively,

Señorida
