IWSG+Environment Day
The awesome co-hosts for the June 5 posting of the IWSG are Liza at Middle Passages, Shannon Lawrence, Melissa Maygrove, and Olga Godim!
June 5 question - In this constantly evolving industry, what kind of offering/service do you think the IWSG should consider offering to members?
Ans: As a kid who's aspiring to be an author, the inspiration, support, motivation, advice and tips and tricks are more than I could ever ask for. I'm thankful for it:)
IWSG is just amazing as it is. But everything can always be enhanced like they say. I'm so looking forward to reading everyone's suggestions. I think challenges or contests can be something but it's really not a suggestion for this.
Personal Updates:
I did write it! Hoorah! I just completed writing the first draft of my second novel. I couldn't ever finish my first novel idea. I had so many obstacles then. The first draft of my YA fiction has been completed with a word count of 70, 998 words. It's a work of 7-8 months!
I know the next step is to revise this over and over. One advice I found on the Internet was to set aside my work for at least some 3-4 months and read it again so that I'd be able to analyse it much professionally. I'm setting it aside for 10 months. This academic year would be my life changer. The more serious... the more good. If I ever decide to read my draft again.... the thing will be all over my head. It's just ten months:)
I'm really proud of what I did even though my first draft is a totally noob thing. I tried and I improved during the process. It's a win:)
And.....
Happy Environment Day!!!
Godmother•Señorida Anastasia
My fairy godmother who cannot fly
Feet on ground and head up in the sky
Oh godmother! You endure pain to remain on Earth
Seldom stronger, yet remains with ungrateful mirth
Northern breeze balters your branched wands
Wands casting green charms of unspoken demands
Granted hungering blessings swing on wand's tip
No accidental slips
Flowers that are loving bloomed smiles
Await lovers to walk aisles
Amidst your grace, I see pain
Beyond elegance, the bleeding pain
Behind strength lies the truth of aging
Found not much engaging
Above roots, the fallen flowers or murdered smiles
Yet endured by your only aisles
Blests granted only to be forgotten into a void
Mirth outgrows their strength ever so solid
Your magical wand snatched
Mirth's act to harrasment matched
Heart pulled out thoughtless
Burned alive merciless

Congrats on finishing your first draft of your second novel. Unless you're too busy with school and other obligations, I don't think you have to put it on hold for so long. A few weeks or a month can be enough time to give you perspective. I'm glad you find this group supportive. Me too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, TYSM😊🖤!!!
DeleteCongrats on finishing your first draft! Putting it aside for a few weeks/months is helpful to be able to go in with fresh eyes. Ten months might be pushing it a bit, but do what feels right for your life/schedule!
ReplyDeleteThank you😊🖤!!! TYSM
DeleteWay to go, Señorida AnastasiaI. Congrats on finishing your novel. You are a delight and so inspiring. You need to set your manuscript aside for the amount of time that works for you. I'm looking forward to reading it! Love that photo of you. Take care!
