IWSG: Ghost Stories!
Hola and Hello my beloved readers!!!
Señorida Anastasia here.
Gratitude to the hosts!
October 2 question - Ghost stories fit right in during this month. What's your favorite classic ghostly tale? Tell us about it and why it sends chills up your spine.
The ghosts are why I love hollywood. Our ideal ghost (Indian ghost):
Meme from reddit
I was 8 years old when I watched Annabelle with my cousin, Nidha. I acted as a valiant child. I was damn scared tbh. I was 9 when a friend, Afrah Nisha suggested Conjuring to me and my mother discouraged me from watching it.
At the age of 11, I fell in love with James Wan’s Conjuring universe. I was like Where in the hell was this heaven!? I got excited about parapsychology and spent most of my lockdown days trying to learn about it. I tried writing a book about an atheist girl who became a paranormal investigator. My favourite ghostly tale is definitely the first Conjuring movie that kind of contributed to changing my life.
LIFE
Time is flying. Didn't see this IWSG day coming. Final year's...10th grade's trip...the awaited trip is now over. Scored 96% in 1st term's exam. Scarce time to edit my book.
See you next month. Happy IWSG day:)
Anyone....interested to read a short story??? Maybe the 1st chapter (just done editing version of a book. Approved by the 15 year old girls)??? Genre is Romance. Leave your email if you'd like to read.
ReplyDeleteI have ghosts write on my blog all the time. One April I had the ghost of Freud try to psychoanalyze me while the ghost of Mark Twain irritated him. https://rolandyeomans.blogspot.com/2023/04/l-is-for-friendhip.html Send me your short story, Rida, and I will read it for you -- I am a rare blood courier so time is meager for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh! I'm ever so delighted to see this comment. Haha😅❤
DeleteMy oldest sister would wake me up when I was in grade school to watch the midnight creature features becuz she was afraid to watch them alone!
ReplyDeleteThank you for co hosting! I have a little brother just like that:)
DeleteThe life of a paranormal investigator certainly would be educational and, at times, heart-stopping. But the tales one could tell!
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed a good spooky story and my all-time favorites are chicken-skin tales about legends of Hawaii.

Certainly! Haven't heard of chicken-skin but surely will check out
DeleteWell done on the exam.
ReplyDeleteThe first Conjuring - and the second - were very creepy films especially knowing they were based on real events.
Thank you! They were indeed creepy. I had read about the Warrens in a magazine before watching the movie
DeleteCongrats on your exaam. You're braver than me. I will not watch the Conjuring!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I too once believed that I'd never watch Conjuring...but the *Based on Real Events* and the fact that these things are safely kept inside a museum makes it interesting than creepy! It actually made me braver.
DeleteCongrats on the exam. My kids are getting into scary movies and games now... my wife is terrified of them so I guess I'll have to watch it with them. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think it's good for kids(being one of them myself) that it actually makes us braver, practical and curious. I think your wife is like my mom or are all mothers like that:)
DeleteCongrats on your exam. The idea of a paranormal investigator sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi, Señorida Anastasia! I'm late getting around. We returned from traveling on Thursday evening. I'd love to read your story: mlouisebarbour@gmail.com Well done on your exam! I hope I never have to write another one ~ lol! All the best to you!
