January 7 question - Is there anything in your writing plans for 2026 that you are going to do that you couldn't get done in 2025?

I'd actually thought that I'd have a good Instagram account with litterateur vibes and all. But things don't work well with me at all. I did try and start one but I couldn't get nowhere because I didn't have a phone and I had to go for my mom's. That wasn't a good option because my brother was also using it at that time.

It had taken a lot of effort to convince my parents to let me start Instagram and after that when I'd posted a video---with my face, voice and words---my mom just asked me not to. My parents are really good but they too like many others give in to the societal bullshit here(Kerala in India if you're wondering where)

I do have a lazy-tablet and a Chromebook but won't get a phone till I'm out of highschool---449 days more for it.

It's funny how parents just expect you to be things but won't let you reach your own expectations.

All I look forward is to write stories---even though they won't see daylight anytime soon.

I am excited for 2026---Football, movies, bitter-sixteen, and the last year at my hellhole of a school.

  1. Maybe it's a good idea you enjoy the real world a bit more while you're young. By the time you are an adult, social media will have changed yet again anyway.

  2. I understand your frustration. It's always hard to have external limitations that you can't control. I hope the rest of your school experience goes well and that you keep writing.
