IWSG: June 3 2026
Hellooo!
The awesome co-hosts for the June 3 posting of the IWSG are Victoria Marie Lees, Sarah Foster, Natalie Aguirre, and C. Lee McKenzie!
Thank you for co hosting!
June 3 question - Do most of your story ideas come from one place (the news, dreams, etc.) or do they hit from all over the place?
They all come from so many different places.
My debut romance was just an experiment that later became so much more. There is so much of "me" in there. A lot of it came from songs. A bit of it was the answer to the question---What would I do differently? And now I just feel like it was just "What if's"
I get inspired from vibes. I listen when people talk, walk---and yes---when they stalk. I attribute their qualities to my characters. No story of mine has started from endings and none would ever start with beginnings. Everything I've ever written starts from somebody, everybody, anybody and even nobody in that order.
Some other things;
This is the first week of my senior year. It has been---not at all exciting. It's a lot of pressure. Hopefully I get to med school one day:)
I started script writing in my mother tongue---malayalam. I have tried writing stories in that language and I have failed miserably. But scriptwriting---I think I can be a decent scriptwriter someday.
Sold three books last month!
Thank you all for showing so much love. I am working on the sequel. I must be crazy. Having three projects at the same time---all different genres AND juggling school with it. Right now, I can only afford a couple hours at the weekend for writing but hopefully everything works out in it's pace.
