IWSG:NOV 4

November 4 question - As a writer, do you have favorite themes that you like to explore in your stories? If so, what are they?

Thank you to the wonderful--- co hosts of this month.

Heyyyyy

I think I enjoy exploring emotional layers of my characters. I am the kind of person that thinks of every possible scenario and run it over like a god-zillion times. Like Vision. From Marvel. Vision's an AI. And so I like to do the same with my characters. Part of my problems in life is this very thing. I can't help it. And beyond thinking about my own possible future scenerios I start thinking for characters that---I thought and made from nothing.

Yeah---Romance and Drama are my favorite themes and everyone knows that. But I think what I do even more is try to bring some sort of emotion into everything.

Someone could look at me and smile and then I'd keep thinking about it for a while. One of my friends could tell me I have pretty hair and I'd keep thinking about it and someone could say that I'm too short and I'd probably end up husband less because of it and I'd keep thinking of it too.

I keep rewinding, predicting and practicing.

And I feel afraid when I do it. So I'd rather live for my character than for myself.

Maladaptive Daydreaming AKA Self Destruction.

But sometimes though when I feel safe---emotionally, that is, even it's been for fleeting minutes these days, I get to live in my skin as a person I am in love with and the girl I'd always wanted to be when I was younger.

I hope you have a great day.

I hope everyone in the world can feel safe enough to live in their own skin too.

  1. You'll be happy to know that as you get older, you will stop thinking about that stuff because you just won't care!
